NADIA
Hello, I’m Nadia
I’m a Registered Psychotherapist who believes healing begins with connection, compassion, and feeling truly seen. I work with adolescents, adults, and couples navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, grief, trauma, relationship challenges, and the many transitions and difficulties life can bring.
My path to becoming a therapist has been anything but traditional. Before entering the mental health field, I spent many years working in business, marketing, fundraising, and customer service throughout Thunder Bay and across Ontario. In every role, what mattered most to me was always the people - hearing their stories, understanding their experiences, and building meaningful connections.
I hold a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University, a Bachelor of Education from Lakehead University, and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Northwood University. I have also completed the End-of-Life Doula program through Douglas College. My varied personal and professional experiences allow me to bring empathy, curiosity, and a grounded real-world perspective into the therapy room.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and supportive. I draw from a variety of therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), Narrative Therapy, and somatic-based practices, tailoring therapy to each client’s unique needs and experiences. I have also completed Level 1 Gottman Method Couples Therapy training, as well as an externship in Emotion Focused Couples Therapy.
I also know firsthand how transformative therapy can be. Experiences including motherhood, divorce, personal loss, and rebuilding my life deeply shaped both my personal journey and the therapist I am today. With the support of therapy, I experienced profound personal growth and healing — and eventually realized I wanted to help others experience that same sense of hope, change, and possibility.
Completing my master’s degree while raising my children was a long and meaningful journey, and one that reflects the dedication and care I bring to my work today. It’s a privilege to walk alongside clients as they explore their stories, strengthen relationships, and move toward lives that feel more authentic, connected, and fulfilling.
I am a member in good standing with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario and the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association.
